Abstract.<\/strong> The relevance of the presented research lies in the attempt to identify tactics that allow to disseminate scientific knowledge in an entertaining form that can interest the widest possible audience. The article presents an analysis of the pragmatic, functional and structural-semantic features of the book by Bastian Sick \u00abThe dative is the death of the genitive\u00bb, which author describes the changes in the German language that he is observing currently in the society of the Federal Republic of Germany based on publications in the media, public speeches of officials, and colloquial speech. The book has been used officially as teaching material, but it differs strikingly from classical works in descriptive linguistics in terms of both functional and structural-stylistic features, since it is written in an entertaining manner with a large number of humorous elements. As a result of the conducted research, it was concluded that the analyzed book is a hybrid text that combines characteristics of various genres. The stylistic features of the author’s column ensure emotionality and involve the maximum number of readers in the discussion. The feuilleton features make the text fascinating and easy to read, so the book can be classified as an entertaining one. Based on its content, the book belongs to the genres of educational and popular science literature. This mix of genres allows scientific knowledge to be disseminated in an accessible and entertaining manner to the widest possible audience, and provides interactivity and the ability to respond quickly to current changes in the language.<\/p>\n
