The integration of digital technologies creates promising opportunities for this area, increasing the availability of cultural heritage and forming innovative communication models. The sphere of digital leisure is a dynamically developing segment that has a significant impact on the everyday practices of modern society. The analysis of the problem revealed the presence of both positive and negative aspects. According to the Digital 2025 Global Overview study, there is a significant growth in the audience of the digital space. The widespread distribution of technological devices offering diversified opportunities for recreation and entertainment with instant access has led to a transformation of the structure of young people’s free time and had a decisive influence on the formation of their leisure preferences. The study uses methods of content analysis of digital platforms, analysis of statistical data on media consumption, and a review of current research in this area. The results show that digital technologies contribute to expanding opportunities for communication, obtaining information, entertainment, and self-presentation. At the same time, risks were also identified: deterioration of physical condition, decreased level of socialization, dependence on the virtual environment. The authors emphasize the need to form a digital culture, rational use of screen time, and adaptation of cultural and leisure practices to the realities of a digital society. In conclusion, recommendations are offered for educational and cultural institutions on the formation of a balanced leisure model combining online and offline formats.

Keywords: digitalization; Internet; digital leisure; youth; online games; social networks; streaming platforms

Kireev Mikhail Nikolaevich Belgorod State University of Arts and Culture, Belgorod, Russia E-mail: Kireymn@mail.ru RSCI: https://elibrary.ru/author_profile.asp?id=855956 Enina Svetlana Alexandrovna Belgorod State University of Arts and Culture, Belgorod, Russia E-mail: eninasa@mail.ru ORCID: https://orcid.org/0009-0009-4693-9498 RSCI: https://elibrary.ru/author_profile.asp?id=1248189 Anikeev Denis Vladimirovich Belgorod State University …

[40,5

post-4651","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-issue-3-2025","category-article
["GET
