The contradiction between the demand for social service institutions for minors, developing against the background of an increasing number of children in need of social services and the insufficient degree of knowledge of modern social protection institutions for children, determines the relevance of the study. Empirical analysis has shown that in conditions of socio-economic instability, conflicts, gaps in the social protection of childhood, the spread of social orphanhood, the results of specific actors providing social assistance to children, which are social service institutions, are important. The purpose of the study is to study the content of social diagnostics and rehabilitation of minors in social service institutions at the present stage and identify them as significant technologies of social work. The authors, using a questionnaire survey of specialists, revealed that social diagnostics and rehabilitation are in demand and key technologies of social work with minors in social service institutions. Social diagnostics is the initial stage of work, it is from the establishment of a social diagnosis that the forms of assistance and types of social services are determined. Social rehabilitation is the second stage of work, thanks to which, based on social diagnostics, assistance is provided and social services are provided. The significance of the conducted research lies in the fact that social diagnostics and rehabilitation are justified as in-demand technologies of social work with minors in social service institutions, their interrelationship with each other and synchronicity of implementation in practice are highlighted.

Keywords: minors; social diagnostics; services; social rehabilitation; assistance

Bistyaikina Dinara Asymovna National Research Mordovian State University named after N.P.
