The court poet Bernard Andr\u00e9 of Toulouse, despite his blindness, was for a long time an approximate of the first monarchs of the Tudor dynasty, in particular, he was entrusted with the training of the heirs of the throne \u2013 the princes Arthur and Henry (the future Henry VIII). The author also notes translations into modern English done by D. Sutton and D. Hobbins, in which, however, there are some differences with the original text and the comments that are commenting on the text appear to be insufficient. This article provides a detailed analysis of the peculiarities of the text of the original manuscript, which are reflected in its Russian translation. It should be noted in particular the poetic works of Bernard Andre, his poems, written in eleven-syllable verse and dedicated to the victories of the king over his enemies, which are often found in the text of \u201cHistory of Life &#8230;\u201d The work of Bernard Andre, preserved in the manuscript and not printed during the author&#8217;s lifetime, but very popular in court and diplomatic circles, became a real milestone in the formation and development of the historiography of the Tudor dynasty, in many ways defining the vector of the evolution of scientific works up to the middle of the XIX century.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>Keywords:<\/strong> the Tudor Era; court culture; Bernard Andre; \u201cThe History of Life and Accomplishments of Henry VII\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kiryukhin Dmitry Vyacheslavovich Nizhny Novgorod state agricultural academy, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia E-mail: bagerlock@gmail.com Abstract.
