It is therefore necessary to study the emotional component of a translating subject whose activity is always linked to some emotional experiences.
Another foundation for the study is the synergetic model of translation space which consists, among others, of the energy field where emotive meanings are formed. This model sees a translation act as something more complex than a speech act because of emerging emotive meanings that are verbalized in the target language.

The authors’ idea is illustrated by the analysis of two fragments of a literary text and one fragment of an academic text, all in French, and their respective translations into Russian.

The analysis of the translation of two fragments of a literary text showed an appearing asymmetry which proved, in fact, to be a harmonious translation. The harmony was achieved by emerging emotive meanings created thanks to the translator’s empathy.

The analysis of the title of the academic text showed that though it can’t be translated word-to-word, a harmonious translation is still possible if a translator possesses empathy and uses their emotional movements to achieve harmony. This kind of a operation can be called ‘emerging emotive meanings’. It characterizes emotive discourse of translator’s linguistic personality or, in other words, translator’s empathy.

Keywords: speaking personality; emotional and communicating personality; integral discourse; translation discourse; emotive discourse; translation space; harmonious translation; translator’s empathy

Zubkova Ekaterina Vladimirovna Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Perm, Russia E-mail: vvkate@mail.ru ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0353-7191 RSCI: https://www.elibrary.ru/author_profile.asp?id=586134 Nina Grigorievna Pogorelaya Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Perm, Russia E-mail: npogorelaia@yandex.ru ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6505-5625 RSCI: https://www.elibrary.ru/author_profile.asp?id=658238 Kilovataya Marina Aleksandrovna Perm National Research Polytechnic University, …

[32,5

post-3543","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-issue-3-2023","category-article
["GET
