Abstract.<\/strong> The article examines the process of development of modern urban subculture. It is proved that its characteristic feature is the saturation of the cultural space with technical and technological components, which are considered as \u00abxenoelements\u00bb \u2014 artifacts and representations formed in the field of technology and technology and constantly penetrating into culture. This process, the content of which is considered by the authors in the context of the theory of socio-ecological metabolism and the emergence of sociobiotechnical systems (SBT systems), is defined as \u00abxenoization\u00bb of urban subculture, its prerequisites are revealed, which lie in the specifics of the organization of urban life (industrialization of culture, its massization and rationalization, social alienation). It is emphasized that the \u00abxenoization\u00bb of the urban subculture does not carry unambiguously negative content and is realized through the conscious activity of people. During its course, the prerequisites of \u00abxenoization\u00bb turn into real practices that reflect the attitudes and orientations prevailing in the urban community. Based on the results of a number of sociological studies, the specifics of these attitudes are analyzed. The subject of this study is the dispositions of citizens \u2014 direct participants in the process of metabolizing the urban subculture to its \u00abxenoization\u00bb, which are manifested directly or implicitly contained in judgments regarding the technological modernization of this sphere. The authors tried to consider various aspects of the replication of metabolic \u00abxenoization\u00bb of urban subculture in the course of several empirical studies: \u00abSocio-cultural consequences of the formation of urbanized sociobiotechnical systems\u00bb, \u00abLimitations and risks of the introduction of digital technologies in regional universities\u00bb, \u00abSocial consolidation of urban communities: opportunities and limitations in the conditions of digitalization of urbanized environment\u00bb. The conducted research gives grounds to consider the filling of the modern urban subculture with technical and technological elements as a stable and constantly growing trend. This process is defined by the authors as a metabolic \u00abxenoization\u00bb of subculture.<\/p>\n
