Time of Consuls\u00bb as the most important novel of Ivo Andric. It was supposed to start a triptych, including, as well, Belgrade and Sarajevo chronicles, and become the biggest writing of Ivo Andric, an apogee of his work as a writer and diplomat. In spite of \u00abBridge over Drina\u00bb being the Nobel winning novel, \u00abTravnik chronicle\u00bb is more interesting from Historical and cultural viewpoints, for the action takes place in smaller period of time, what moves the accent from history to describing the reality, so that the author could show us the life in his hometown.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The article attempts to consider the novel not only through its plot, but, as well, through the events, connected to its writing and trough Ivo Andric diplomatic career.
