Abstract.<\/strong> The article is devoted to the consideration of the phenomenon of functioning of the foundations of the life safety of the Russian peasant community. The study of this topic has indisputable scientific interest, importance and relevance. Currently, the interest in the successful experience of ensuring the safety of life on the part of the intellectual and scientific elite is increasing. It is conditioned by the need to build a strategy to overcome the crisis factors of anthropogenic impact on the environment. The authors pay attention, reveal and analyze the unique historical experience of the Russian peasant community in the implementation of the security of various spheres of life. Methodological principles of the work included a number of concrete historical principles and general scientific system methods: structural analysis and a historical-systematic approach allowed us to give a comprehensive generalizing picture of the historical period under consideration; the historical-comparative method is aimed at comparing similar elements of the objects being compared. The authors analyzed the spectrum of literature, affecting the little-studied aspect of the functioning of the basics of life safety within the framework of the Russian peasant community. The importance of the parameters of the life activity of a modern person and the wide range of threats that can radically disrupt the established foundations of life are highly appreciated. It is noted that the experience of the past, «collective memory», theoretical and empirical data can become a reliable basis for constructing a new model of life safety. In conclusion, the authors present the results of the study, which can be included in generalizing scientific and practical works on the formation, dynamics, development of the basics of life safety. A retrospective view allows us to determine the ways of further successful development of the «man \u2014 society \u2014 material environment» system, to predict the directions of the planned transformations in the field of life safety both at the macro level and in the context of local changes.<\/p>\n
