The authors are convinced that visualized signs of a multinational ethnic environment landscape should be bilingual and multilingual. The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is a multinational region of the Russian Federation whose state languages are Sakha and Russian, with the languages of the small-numbered indigenous peoples of the North having the status of official languages. The presence of the Sakha language, along with the Russian language, on the facades of buildings becomes the most important condition and a symbol of recognition of its state status. Consequently, translation of texts on signs placed on the facades of buildings is becoming a necessary tool for the implementation of bilingualism and multilingualism in the Republic.
