One of the most important social functions of art journalism is substantiated \u2013 the creation of the foundations of a constructive dialogue, first of all, to maintain socio-cultural balance. The polygenre nature of art journalism is determined both by the variety of events in cultural life and by the characteristics of different spheres of culture and types of art. Within the framework of the study of art journalism, correlations of genres and news stories (events) are also found, which, in turn, determines specific discursive practices in this type of communication, the dominant means of which are proper names, citation, ekphrasis.
