The present study aims to construct the concept of trolling as a social phenomenon and a tool of communication that forms its own discursive cycle on the basis of Jacques Lacan&#8217;s methodology. In order to study the effect of trolling on the management of social processes in modern society, we conducted a study in 2015\u20132018. The data obtained in the course of the study indicate that trolling is actively used in modern society. One of the most common areas of trolling is politics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The paper considers the transformation of trolling discourse in the public environment, reveals the influence of trolling on the change of social reality caused by the destruction of knowledge and values.
