Abstract. The relevance of the article is due to the high importance of the category of uncertainty in the linguistic space of poetic texts by A.A. Blok, which is one of the manifestations of the poetics of symbolism. Syntactic means of creating uncertainty are widely represented in fiction, which makes important the analysis of the role of these linguistic facts in the texts of A.A. Block.
The purpose of this article is to analyze the features of the implementation of the semantics of uncertainty in the poetry of A. Blok with the help of indefinitely subjective sentences. This group of syntactic units includes indefinite personal sentences of varying degrees of indefiniteness and sentences with a subject representing an indefinite pronoun.
The article shows the stylistic potential of these linguistic units. The author presents the structural and semantic features of syntactic parallelism of indefinite-personal sentences, the reduplication of two-part sentences with an indefinite subject, combined with the use of syntactic parallelism, equivalence relations in the organization of the linguistic units. It is shown that the syntactic parallelism of sentences with the semantics of ambiguity occurs relatively often and implements various shades of artistic meaning. It is noted that vaguely personal sentences in the poetics of A. Blok are usually negatively colored.
One-part and two-part sentences, organized respectively by relations of syntactic parallelism and reduplication, can either alternate or form a framework structure. The repetitive component in two-part sentences in reduplication relations is predominantly expressed by the pronoun someone, however, in a later period of creativity, other pronouns are also used.
As a result of the analysis of the use of poetic techniques based on systemic relations between indefinitely personal and two-part sentences with an indefinite subject of action, it was concluded that the complex relationships formed between these syntactic units, based on multiple increments of the author’s meaning, are due to specific features such as the poet’s worldview and symbolism as an artistic system.
Keywords: poetic syntax; idiostyle; category of indeterminacy; indefinitely subjective sentences; syntactic parallelism; reduplication; equivalence
