Semiotic symbols and month values in the context of the traditional calendar rites of the Sakha people

Abstract. The traditional calendar of the Sakha people is an important part of the ethnicity spiritual culture, which regulates time representations. It was a part of the cultural picture of the world and formed an inseparable whole with it, being the Keeper of the cultural code of the people. The ethno-cultural system of the calendar is associated with the organization, interpretation and understanding of time periods, the allocation of holidays and weekdays, the allocation of the beginning and end of natural and climatic cycles, and traditional economic work. This article analyzes the main semiotic symbols and month values of the traditional calendar of the Sakha people. The author has studied and supplemented the characteristics of people born in certain months of the annual cycle. Ritual complexes performed in specific months of the year are considered. Culturological, structural-functional, historical-comparative, systemic, hermeneutical and semiotic research methods were used in the work.
