Abstract. The article examines the modern leisure, recreation and entertainment industry as a new model of cultural space, providing ways to meet the cultural needs of people in conditions of organized recreation. The entertainment industry is gaining momentum in providing its services, where the reaction of citizens of the country to this is manifested ambiguously. There is also a big gap between the participation of business and the state, where commercial organizations are in the lead positions in providing entertainment services. The author explains the reasons for this gap and people’s reaction to the development of the entertainment segment, and also describes the functioning of the entertainment industry in the society in all the diversity of social relations and interrelationships.
